Lockers
Students who wish to have a locker will be assigned one in mentor in the first week. If demand exceeds supply for lockers, students may need to share.

MyCBE provides parents, students and staff access to academic information and learning activities.
Fees & Waivers
Fees will be charged to your MyCBE account beginning in October.
Course Changes
Request a change to your timetable. Subject to school approval.
Transportation
Parking
There is parking available in our school parking lot and on the street surrounding the school. Please be respectful of neighbors when parking or when dropping off or picking up students.
Calgary Transit
Parents are responsible for arranging transportation to and from Alternative High School. Many of our students take Calgary Transit each day. Calgary Transit offers Fair Entry passes for families who may need support to buy a bus pass.

School Supplies
Please bring your own basic school supplies, such as pens, pencils, and binders with paper. Your teachers will let you know if additional supplies are required.
Clubs & Activities
Interested in Athletics at Central Memorial?
Alternative HS students interested in trying out for Central Memorial teams should reach out to Principal Tracy prior to August 26. Tryouts begin on August 26 for most Fall sports. Find out more on Central's Athletics page on their website.
Lunchtime
Students should bring a water bottle and healthy food/snacks for the day each day. There is no food service at Alternative HS and no nearby food outlets. Microwaves are available.
School Pictures and ID
School pictures are September 8. Students will receive a school ID with their new picture.
Learning Technologies & Student Wi-Fi
Reminder that students are not allowed to use cell phones during instructional time. Students should be prepared to put their phone in the classroom lockbox at the beginning of each class.
Off-Site Activities
Keep updated on field-trips and other exciting off-site activities throughout the year. We're excited to expand on learning opportunities by stepping outside of the classroom.
