Ceremony / Banquet
Participation in Graduation Ceremonies requires students to:
- Have earned the required credits and courses to meet the Alberta Education requirements for a High School Diploma or Certificate of High School Achievement
- Be a student in good standing according to the school code of conduct
Individual cases will be considered on their own merits.
Graduation 2026
This year our graduation will be held on May 29, 2026.
All students (grade 10,11 and 12) and families are encouraged to attend the Graduation Celebration in the morning from 9:00-11:00am. This year it will be held at Central Memorial Theatre in order to accommodate our large graduating class and their families. This is an opportunity for the whole community to recognize and celebrate the success of our 2026 graduates.
The Graduation Banquet is at the Glenmore Inn on May 29, 2026 11:30am - 4:00pm. Ticket price TBD. All attendees (including graduates) must have a ticket to attend.
Graduation Photos
Grad pictures are scheduled at the school for Jan. 21 - 23, 2026.
Students can sign up using this link: Edge Imaging | Booking Your Appointment
Students who would like to purchase graduation photos will pay a sitting fee. If students simply want a picture for the composite, they do not need to pay the fee.
Update April 2026
Several students put their names forward to be considered for Valedictorian and Emcee's for the banquet. Students voted based on speeches prepared and delivered by each competitor.
Students have been asked to declare whether they are attending the banquet and how many tickets they need by April 10. We have to ensure there are enough seats for everyone to have at least 4 tickets, and the total number is how we set the cost with the Glenmore Inn.
Tickets will be in MyCBE under fees starting the week of April 27
The first batch of tickets will be for the students who have already graduated or who are already on track to graduate.
The second batch will be released after May 8 when students are confirmed as having qualified to graduate at that point.
Grad checks will happen every two weeks to ensure grads are on track still to be passing all their courses and achieving the requisite credits to be awarded their high school diploma or certificate of achievement.
Watch for a flyer to come home in April with details for graduation day, paying for tickets and ensuring our graduation day is a huge success!
Reminder
Participation in graduation ceremony does not mean a student has graduated. They still have to pass their courses and exams.
Alberta Education issued your high school diploma (not Alti or the CBE). Students have been encouraged all year to connect to MyPass. This is where they can see the official name that will appear on their diploma as well as all their exam marks and final grades.
