All students (grade 10,11 and 12) and families are encouraged to attend the Graduation Celebration at Alternative High School from 9:00-11:00am. This is an opportunity for the whole community to recognize and celebrate the success of our 2026 graduates.

The Graduation Banquet is at the Glenmore Inn on May 29, 2026 11:30am - 4:00pm. Ticket price TBD. All attendees (including graduates) must have a ticket to attend.

Students who would like to purchase graduation photos will pay a sitting fee.  If students simply want a picture for the composite, they do not need to pay the fee.

Update December 2025

Our graduating class had their first meeting two weeks ago.  They discussed the format of the day and themes.  The class has voted for Gothic Ball as their theme for this year. A D2L shell has been setup for all students on the grad list.  All information pertaining to grad will be in the D2L shell.

Graduation pictures are scheduled for Jan. 21-23.  Edge Imaging is coming on Tuesday, Dec. 9 to talk to grads about grad pictures, what to wear and what to expect. Students can sign up for a sitting using this link: Edge Imaging | Booking Your Appointment. Students do NOT need to pay for a sitting if they simply want a picture for the Graduate Composite.  Watch for more information after the meeting on Tuesday.

This time of year is the beginning of applications for post-secondary and scholarships.  Mentors will try to notify students when there are scholarships that are applicable to them.  Parents and students can also explore Education Matters Awards or Calgary Foundation to view the wide range of scholarships available. Janine will support students in exploring post-secondary, and applications for post-secondary and scholarships.

Post-Secondary visits usually take place in January during the Exam Sessions.  Because classes are going straight through to the end of January, Alti staff will set up an information session at the school in January with Alberta University of the Arts, SAIT, Bow Valley College, Mount Royal University and University of Calgary.  Dates will be posted as soon as they are firm.
