Graduation 2026

This year our graduation will be held on May 29, 2026

All students (grade 10,11 and 12) and families are encouraged to attend the Graduation Celebration in the morning from 9:00-11:00am. This year it will be held at Central Memorial Theatre in order to accommodate our large graduating class and their families. This is an opportunity for the whole community to recognize and celebrate the success of our 2026 graduates.

The Graduation Banquet is at the Glenmore Inn on May 29, 2026 11:30am - 4:00pm. Ticket price TBD. All attendees (including graduates) must have a ticket to attend.

Update May 2026

Graduation Day Timeline

DRESS CODE: It is expected that grads will be in their graduation attire for the whole day.

GRADUATION CEREMONY (9:15 am - 11:15 am): Celebration of graduates with the school community. Families are welcome and encouraged to attend. With our larger graduating classes, we have outgrown our gym, so this year, we will be holding the ceremony at the auditorium at Central Memorial High School (5111 -21 street SW). PLEASE ARRIVE BY 9AM.

PARKING: Please park in the back of Central Memorial High School in the SW corner of the lot. There will be signs showing where to park. Grads and guests can enter up the stairs or the ramp as needed.  Grads will proceed to the band room on the far side of the auditorium. Guests can go immediately to find seating in the auditorium.

During this ceremony, graduates will wear their cap and gown as they are announced to the audience. They will receive a certificate with a handshake from Principal Tracy and their mentor. A professional photograph will be taken at this point. The graduates will be seated on the stage for the remainder of the program.

The graduates will have a chance to give bouquets during this ceremony. As well, current non-graduating Alti students are given a chance to give bouquets to the grad class. In the interest of time, we ask that anyone who will be attending the afternoon festivities wait until then to offer their bouquets.

GLENMORE INN BANQUET AND PROGRAM (12:00 pm - 4:00 pm): The address for the Glenmore Inn is 1000 Glenmore Ct SE. During this time we will enjoy a luncheon buffet, a Graduate Processional, toasts, speeches, and more bouquets to honour the graduation class.

Reminder

Participation in graduation ceremony does not mean a student has graduated. They still have to pass their courses and exams.

Alberta Education issued your high school diploma (not Alti or the CBE). Students have been encouraged all year to connect to MyPass. This is where they can see the official name that will appear on their diploma as well as all their exam marks and final grades.
