April (snow) showers bring May flowers!

Last week Forensics students were studying how fire behaves.  This week in Art, students will be finishing up their stained glass and starting Ceramics!  They also should be thinking about their Passion Projects. Math students are math-ing and ELA students are just finishing up Shakespeare.

"Oh, how this spring of love resembleth / The uncertain glory of an April day, / Which now shows all beauty of the Sun, / And by and by a cloud takes all away." — The Two Gentlemen of Verona (Act 1, Scene 3)

We have had individual conversations with our graduating students about scholarships, post-secondary and other plans for next year.  Reach out to your mentor if you have questions.

Attendance Matters

There are only 7 weeks of classes left this semester. 34 instructional days.

Attendance remains the single most important determinant of success for students.  We ask our students to commit to at least 80% attendance.  Engagement in learning and successful demonstration of knowledge and skills depend on consistent attendance.  Even if students are late, there is great benefit in getting to school and to class when they can, as opposed to missing the day.  Students will always have to make up what they miss, which can cause anxiety.  Please connect with your child's mentor, or call the office if they are going to be late, absent, or need to leave early.
