In the spirit of Mastery, congratulations to all our students for finishing up the most broken up yet longest semester ever! Some of our students participated in a circle on Friday to celebrate their acomplishments.
Fresh Start: Semester 2 starts on Wednesday at 8:55am.
Some students may have changes to their timetables for Semester 2 based on course success first semester and changes in goals for graduation. Please reach out to your mentor if you have questions.
We are welcoming 8-10 new students second semester. In the spirits of Belonging and Generosity, please remind your child of what helped them to feel welcomed when they started at Alti. We will spend a little extra time in mentor on Wednesday and Thursday re-setting and getting to know our new peers.
There is no school on Friday, January 30.
Meet the Teacher for Semester 2 courses will be Tuesday, February 10 at 6:00pm, followed by School Council and Parent Society at 7:00pm.

Planning for 2026-27 School Year
We have started planning for next school year already. Students will be choosing courses for next year over the first few weeks of February. Mentors have credit planners for each of their mentees and will be having conversations with each about post-secondary plans and realistic planning to graduate. Parents will have an opportunity to review student course picks in PowerSchool prior to final submission. If students are interested in dual credit programming in grade 11 and 12, they should be thinking about that now. More information is available at CBE Unique Pathways Website.
Attendance and Engagement Semester 2
For some of our students, attendance and engagement semester 1 was challenging. Mentors will be working students to improve their regulation and student skills to alleviate their challenges. Consistent attendance and meaningful engagement in learning are the most important factors in student success. Your support from home to get your teen to school and support them in consistently completing required work will help us to ensure their success.
Congratulations to our January Grads!
A handful of our students have completed all their requirements for graduation and will be moving on in February. They will stay connected to Alti Graduation and we will celebrate their accomplishment with them on May 29 when we celebrate all our grads. We are so proud of our graduates in achieving this milestone!
Thank you to Rob Button and Welcome Back to Brett
Rob Button stepped in to care for Brett's classes and mentees while Brett was adjusting to parenthood. Rob has become part of the Alti family and are grateful for his contributions to our community. Rob has taken a role at Central Memorial second semester, so will be close by for community days. Rob will be finalizing student report cards on Monday, and will pass the torch back to Brett who will return on Wednesday full time.
Have a great week Alti!
