We have a busy week ahead!
We had a beautiful day last week on Wednesday with Marty, Linda and Nadine Laplante offering teachings on ribbon skirt in our CAD (Creative Art and Design) class. We are so grateful for our partners in learning. Also in CAD, students learned about 3D printing and making models using computer aided design.
Community Day Paperwork due TOMORROW!
Students have chosen either roller skating, a movie or bowling as an activity on March 19. Busses will leave Alternative at 9:30am and return at 12:45pm. Students will be provided a lunch back at the school. Dismissal at 2:00pm. Staff will be at school until 3:30pm if students want to stay and work on work.
Community Days are an opportunity for students to build community through shared experiences. Attendance is expected on these days. There is no cost for this activity thanks to the generous support of our School Council/Parent Association. If a student commits, however, and then doesn't attend, they may be charged $20 for the cost of the transportation.
Your teen must bring back the signed Acknowledgement of Risk by Monday, March 16. Paperwork is linked below.

Planning for 2026-27
Our students who are staying at Alternative for the 2026-27 school year have chosen their courses. Parents can login to PowerSchool with their teen to view the courses they have chosen and offer feedback/input. Mentors have met with each student to guide them in their choices based on a realistic timetable for graduating and achieving the courses they need to pursue post-secondary after high school. Any students interested in Dual Credit or Exploratory Unique Pathways for Summer, Fall or full year next year should submit their applications by April 10.
